This is my last post before year 2011 ends and I would like to thank all the readers, followers and visitors of this blog for a great year. You’re one of the reasons why this blog exists that’s why I want to thank you and hopefully you will continue to be part of this blog next year through reading of my articles, commenting, helping other readers on their questions and sharing post to your friends and families.
There are many beautiful things and blessings that I received this year and want to share it with you. You could also share your thoughts and thanksgiving by leaving your thoughts below of this page. Before the year ends, I would like to give you some of my lists that I am thankful for. I want to call this article a “Thanksgiving Post”.
1. Good health and shape
First of all, this is great blessing for me and my family because we have been in good health and enjoying a happy family. We have not been hospitalized for a major disease or operation. Indeed, health is wealth! So we must also take care ourselves, exercise regularly and eat nutritious food. Our relationship grows stronger and we want to serve God more faithful in 2012.
2. Another working contract
Last August, I signed another one-year contract with my current employer and I considered it a great blessing because of that we will be zero debt by July 2012. All of our obligations and debt will be paid through the salary that I will get from my job.
3. Five earning blogs
Yeah, that’s right. 2011 is really great for my blogging “career”. It’s great feeling when you know your helping other people at the same time you earn from that activity like the blogs that I made. Although, income is not always steady and sometimes it decreases, it’s fulfilling that your blog gives some money that you can use for saving, giving to other people or paying some of your bills.
4. Loving wife and cute son
I’m very thankful to God for my wife and son. They are a source of my inspirations and happiness in this world. They give me joy when I’m lonely and help me when I’m down.
5. Jesus Christ
I thank Jesus for guiding and giving me strength always in every work that I’m doing. I believe what the Bible says, ” I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
6. Our Parents’ Vacation in Korea
This year 2011, our parents (both side) enjoyed their vacation with us here in Korea. We had a memorable experience when they visited us here. They, too, enjoyed their stay since it is their first time to travel and spend a vacation togehter outside the Philippines. We thank God for giving us this chance to “treat” them and give them some pleasures and good memories about Korea.
7. 42-inch LED TV
I remembered after we got married, my wife and I bought our first TV. It is very small compared to the sizes of TVs these days. I think its size is only less than 15 inches wide, its color TV but not remote controlled. Although, it is not my dream to own a big TV, I’m still thankful that we’re able to buy a new one that we will use in the Philippines.
8. Kindle Fire for my Wife
My wife requests to me to buy her a Kindle Fire as a gift for her birthday. Good thing, one of our friend had their vacation in the US so we ask them to buy a Kindle Fire there because we’re thinking it will not be available yet in Korea. I could say it is really a good gift because you can store many ebooks, MP3 and you can surf the Internet.
9. More Time to Serve in the Church
When we are in the Philippines five years ago, we can’t sometime attend the church because we need to work even Sunday! Further, we cannot also serve in the church because of lack of time. Here in Korea, we have given the opportunity to serve a local church composed of foreigners and locals.
10. Travel to Other Places
I’m thankful that we had the opportunity to take vacations and travel to places we have not been before. Last August, our family went to Davao and meet there one of our friend who are living in Davao City. We had a great time seeing the place and tourist spots as we are accompanied by our friend. Also this year, we went to Everland, the biggest amusement park in South Korea together with my parents last April.
11. 6th Wedding Anniversary
My wife and I have been married for 6 years and I’m really thankful for that. God always guide us and keep us loving each other more deeply as the year went by.
Here you go, this is my short list of why I’m thankful for 2011. There are other things I didn’t mentioned here because I want to keep the list to number 11. Of course there are more things to be thankful aside from the items I mentioned above.
