You can see in the table below the minimum initial deposit for BDO. I noticed that they have one of the lowest initial deposit requirement among the Philippine banks.

Hi there! I think it would be better if you contact your branch directly. You may ask your daughter to call your bank on how to resolve the problem. I think if you deposited the money properly in your account, the money will be credited to it and the bank will have all your transactions history. Thanks for visiting this blog. The 2nd post was right, you need to contact your own branch via email or phone. I am sure they would be able to track your transactions. Also, as a reminder, don’t just post your bank account number online. We all know that hackers can easily tracked your money. Better safe than sorry.

Hi Gio,
All ATM card dhould have PIN. It is attached on the card or the envelope when you forst got your ATM card from the bank. You cannot use an ATM if you don’t know the PIN.

@gio: your bdo atm card is activated using bdo atm machine. upon issuance, an instruction listed on a piece of paper is given with your atm card. insert your card in the machine, enter any 6 digit pin, press “other services” button, select pin change, enter desired/new 6 digit pin, then re-enter new pin to confirm. activation is 24 hours.

Hi Kristin P.,
The Kabayan account is intended for OFW or their relatives.
It is a remittance account with no maintaining balance provided that you will remit money into it every 4 or 6 months.

Hi J-Anne,
The P500 is the first deposit for opening an account. Not necessarily you will deposit P500 every month, it depends on you if you want like that.
I think Junior saver account is for kids only.

Is there a possibility that once you open an account in Philippines(BDO),you would be able to check on your account or even withdraw any cash amount using your atm card(BDO)in Taiwan?

Hi Magz,
If there’s a BDO bank in Taiwan you ca do it.
If no BDO bank, you cannot withdraw.

Hi Catherine,
Yes you are right, it’s the initial deposit. You are not required to deposit money every month.
