If you are wanting to apply for an NBI clearance, you may do it even outside of the Philippines through application in the Philippine embassy. However, you cannot get the clearance there directly or instantly because the processing will still be done in the Philippines.
Applying for an NBI Clearance from South Korea can be tricky. Basically, you don’t need appointment as far as what I know. You can directly visit the Philippine Embassy in Seoul to apply for a clearance without any appointment unlike passport application.
If you are applying for an NBI Clearance, here are some of the things that you need to bring:
- Original and copy of your passport
- Passport color size ID in white background (2″X2″) taken in the last 3 months
- Original NSO marriage certificate for wife
Upon entering the embassy’s office, you must get a queue number for NBI clearance application. When it is your number, you should go to the desk where NBI will be processed and the form will be handled to you.
You need to fill out completely the form with required information about yourself such as your full name, birth date and place and so on. After that, the officer will get all your fingerprints and put it at the back of the form. He will sign the form as a proof that you went to embassy and witness your fingerprinting.
You must send this form to NBI office in Manila via post office or any preferred courier. The complete address can be checked online through their website with details below:
Another option you can do is to send the form to your relatives in the Philippines and then they will send the form to NBI office in Manila or submit it there in person so they can right away get your NBI Clearance.
