Hi! if I’m going to enroll for Internet banking, is it a must that I should enroll in the branch where I open my account? Or I can enroll to any metro bank branch? is it possible to transfer money from my account to another metro bank account tru online ?

Anonymous July 27, 2011 at 13:44

HI Ivy,

In my experience and as far as I know, you should enroll to your branch. To your second question, yes you transfer money from your account to another Metrobank account provided you enrolled that bank account to your Internet banking.

It would have been nice to be able to open a time deposit online, but anyways, thanks for the info. I guess all Philippine banks requires a personal appearance when you want to open an/ or new acct, even if you are already an existing client.

Bian July 11, 2011 at 17:07

How can someone living abroad like me open a time deposit with metrobank? What are the requirements?

Gil July 12, 2011 at 10:23

Hi Bian,

I think it is not possible for you since you are in abroad, maybe when you return to Phil that’s the time you should invest in time deposit.

Hi Mary,

I think BDO has no features regarding that.
In BPI, you can do that thru BPI Direct Save-Up.

mary May 10, 2011 at 01:20

How much will be the charge to transfer to other person using different bank, such as bdo?

Gil May 11, 2011 at 22:56

Hi Mary,

You cannot transfer money from Metrobank to BDO through Internet banking.
It is only possible from Metrobank to other BancNet bank members.

Hi Joy,

Yes it is a problem. I think you personally apply other accounts to your Metrobank Direct. Maybe you can send them email or call them what to do in order to enroll other accounts to your Metrobank account.
