Philippine Mutual Fund Performance for 1st Quarter 2013

The Philippine economy and stock market is soaring in the previous months and recently, Fitch, the global rating agency, upgraded the Philippines in the investment grade level. Though the effects of these developments cannot be felt and seen by majority of the Filipinos, some people can feel the effect in other things like those who invest in the stock market and mutual funds.

The good development in the stock market has a direct consequence in mutual funds since almost all investment companies invest in the stock market. If stock is down, mutual fund (stocks fund) will be also down.

Philippine mutual fund performance

In the below table, you can see the performance of mutual funds in the Philippines for the first quarter of 2013. The list shows the types of mutual funds: stock, balanced, bond and money market funds.
