Availing my Annual Physical Examination from Kaiser Healthgroup

Before going to Australia to live there permanently, I tried to inquire about the free annual physical examination (APE) to be given by Kaiser of International Marketing Group (IMG). I have been paying my monthly contributions to Kaiser since May 2015.

I have not availed any of their services since then because my vacation to the Philippines from South Korea is only 2 weeks. Also, I took APE last year with my previous employer, Samsung Heavy Industries.

If you are a Kaiser member for more than one year or have already paid a one-year contribution, I think you can avail of the free services such as dental and medical services.

You need to schedule your APE through the online portal of Kaiser under the “Contact Us” menu. Simply login to your Kaiser Online account and there you need to open a ticket and select “Schedule Annual Physical Examination”.

A “customer care” agent will reply to your query asking for some personal information about yourself like your complete name, Kaise policy number, age, desired date of APE, and hospital you want to take your APE.

You can see my letter of authorization (LOA) from Kaiser at the picture below.

After you have been scheduled, a letter of authorization will be sent to your email and this will be sent also to the hospital by Kaiser. On the day you’re going to the hospital, you need to bring with you a valid ID and your Kaiser Health benefit card.

Next time, I will avail the dental services such as free cleaning (oral prophylaxis), restoration (simple filling) and others.

Did you avail some of free Kaiser benefits and services?

I do have insurance from Kaiser but I haven’t used it yet. I think after I read this blog post of yours, I should try it someday. By the way, I faithfully pay my premium for more than 2 years now.

Thanks for this information. 🙂
